A Relaxed and Elegant Weekday Wedding at Pendrell Hall
It was lovely to be back at the gorgeous country house wedding venue Pendrell Hall in Staffordshire last summer, to photograph the stunning wedding of Lara and Matt in July. I love the challenge of photographing at a familiar wedding venue. Every wedding, no matter how familiar the venue, is a different mix of details, people and personalities and the challenge is to capture the atmosphere and unique story of each couple's wedding day, whilst also documenting who they are together in their love story so far. This is just one chapter of their life, all be it a very important chapter!
Pendrell Hall is an exquisite venue set in beautiful grounds with stunning views of surrounding fields and landscape. Despite it's grandeur, it feels like an intimate and exclusive wedding venue, it really feels like home.
A Stunning Rainy Weather Contingency Plan For Your Outdoor Wedding
Undoubtedly one very attractive feature of the staffordshire wedding venue Pendrell Hall is the beautiful outdoor ceremony area, but equally if the good old British weather does not want to co-operate, the stunning interiors and intimate, airy and light ceremony room ensures that nothing can spoil your wedding day. Having a contingency plan for bad weather on the day of your wedding is always reassuring for anyone planning their perfect day. Thankfully on this day, the sun was shining and the outdoor wedding ceremony went ahead as planned. Lovely!
Why Would We Need a Pre Wedding Shoot?
When I met Lara and Matt for their pre wedding shoot they expressed that they wanted their wedding day to be relaxed and enjoyable for everyone. They weren't big on 'posey' photography, which is great because neither am I, they wanted to be captured with their friends and family, having the best day. The pre wedding shoot was a perfect opportunity for them to get to know me as their wedding photographer and for me to understand how they interact as a couple. Of course not everyone needs to have a pre wedding shoot, but it is really beneficial if you are nervous about the photography aspect of your wedding day, or if you want to get to know your wedding photographer before the day so that you feel more at ease with them.

Mainly because I don't often make my way through any wedding day with dry eyes, I wear my heart on my sleeve and if you cry, I am probably crying too, if there is laughter then I am probably feeling it too. I don't feel I need to hide my emotions because I am sure that this personal trait allows and helps me to tap into and capture the true emotion of your day.
This beautiful wedding was no exception, it was a lovely fun, but very emotional day.

Originally from Hertfordshire, I now live in the wonderful county of Staffordshire, named as 'The creative county'. I certainly am blessed with some incredible local wedding venues. I have had the honour of photographing a number of weddings at Pendrell Hall...and their sister wedding Venue The Ashes Barns in Endon, Near Leek.
In 2018 I am excited to be be photographing my first wedding at their stunning new Shropshire wedding venue The Mill Barns in Alveley. It is a tremendous purpose built, waterfront barn venue.
